Alexander Justus was born in Kazakhstan and as well lived in Siberia for 10 years. 1995 he emigrated to Germany. Just before his emigration he allowed Jesus to save him from alcohol and depression into the real and true life.
Regina was born in Germany. She gave her life to Jesus in 1989 and has been loving the Lord since then. Both have been married for 5 years now.
Alexander has had in his heart to go back to Siberia for some years. Since summer 2004 (her first visit to Siberia) Regina has got the same heart for this part of Russia. After that visit Regina has studied a lot about Russian culture and people and after she got to know the hard Siberian winter in 2006 and discovered her capability of coping with that time of season.
For the moment they live in the same village Alexander used to live (200km from Lake Baikal). At first they are going to stay in Alexander`s home village. The gospel hasn`t reached that place yet, which is true for many other Russian villages. Shamanism, superstition and the orthodox religion have played a determining part in the lives of the very religious people. Churches of believers are mainly found in the Russian cities.
They aleady gained insight concerning the measure of adversity. Alcohol, poverty, conlicts, separation, loneliness, death, hopelessness and superstition everywhere. There were no children of God present until they arrived.
Jesus is determined to intervene and has already started. His work is visible as people are being touched by prayer they receive, and a few individuals keep returning to them in order to experience HIM.
Alexander and Regina believe that God wants to reach out to the people in the villages as well as to make them disciples who spread the gospel themselves all the wonderful signs included. |
