My name is Erminda Anastasi, I am 27 years old and I come from Pogradec, Albania.
I belong to Christian Church “Nehemia” in Pogradec, and I worked in Albania with Adopt A Child since 1996, translating the letters, writing up-dates and until March 2005 I was the Adopt A Child Coordinator for Albania.
Four years ago God had put mission into my heart and I was praying to God to tell me where was the place He wanted to send me. In 2003 when I visited Guatemala for the Adopt A Child conference, God spoke clear to me that this was the place I was to serve Him.
I came back from Guatemala and started to pray and fast about that. I just wanted to be sure that this is what God wanted for my life. During this time I also talked with the directors of Adopt A Child and they started also to pray about that.
On October 2004 I visited Guatemala again for a month, but this time to learn more about the country, to learn about the culture and to be sure of God’s calling. God again spoke and said that this was the place He wanted me to serve Him.
Now I am here in Guatemala and I am serving the Lord here. I am doing the German translations of the letters of the children and of their sponsors, and the up-dates in German for the sponsors. I am also involved in our church we have here, the church of Dueñas and later will be more involved with the children services in this church. |
