Hello, my name is Heide Zwirner.
I have been living as a missionary in Maputo, Mozambique, since the end of 2002. Before, I had been working as a professional nurse for 13 years.
Since 1999 my desire increased to live and work as a missionary in a Third World country.
Then God lead me to Mozambique. He gave me Isaiah 61,1 for the country.
I started working as nurse in the clinic of "Iris Ministries", founded by Heidi and Rolland Baker. After 3 months I was lead to work with "Project Purpose", a Ministry serving young street girls (Prostitutes) in the city.
I worked and lived there for 1 1/2 years. I always continued to work in the clinic at "Iris Ministries" once a week. Now I have been working in the clinic full time again since March 2005 until end of May. Now I am praying about new ways and open doors in Mozambique as the Lord leads me on.
