Paul was born in Columbia. He spent his first 18 years with his German parents in Columbia. He was raised a Catholic. After Paul had completed his Columbian High School education he went to Germany where he began his apprenticeship as a locksmith. During his job training he met an Argentinean who told him about Jesus. At that time Paul consciously accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. During his alternative service (in lieu of military service) in Baden-Baden Paul and Ulrike met and were married in 1978. Both attended the Bible College “Glaubenszentrum” (Christ for the Nations).
In 1985 the Otrembas moved to Columbia, where they then served as pastors in different Foursquare churches. Paul also served as a national leader of the “Iglesia Christiana Carismática Cuadrangular” in Columbia.
In July of 1996 the Otrembas moved back to Germany where, for three years, they led a church in Baden-Baden.
From November 1999 until the end of 2004 they lived and served in . There, they worked as national leaders of the Iglesia Internacional del Evangelio Cuadrangular and were pastors of the main church in Lima. Their task was to plant healthy, growing, and multiplying churches. Their further emphases were discipleship and leadership training.
Since December 2004 Paul and Ulrike live in Bogotá (Columbia). They are currently working as missionaries for Foursquare Missions International in L.A. Their field of ministry is the northern part of South America, and their focus is on continued education and encouragement of pastors and leaders in that region. | |
