IN.touch Mission Work in India |  | India, after China, is the most populated country in the world. India is the country with by far the most ethnic people groups, especially people groups unreached with the gospel. India has more than 50% of the world’s lepers. AIDS is widespread. Even if the economy has shown enormous growth rates, the development progress is leaving the majority of people in India behind. More than 50% of Indians live at or below the minimum existence level. The children are the poorest among the poor. When they do not receive help, they perish.
The mission of IN.touch is to support the spread of the Good News of Jesus Christ to the unreached people in India.
Just as the poor and people on the edge of society were important to Jesus, so are they also important to us. We want to help the children in India especially to develop a firm foundation and a future for their lives by means of Christian nursery and day schools.
We want to help not only in the area of health care and hygiene through health care advice, AIDS counselling and mobile clinics, but also with projects to encourage people to help themselves such as the provision of small loans for setting up income-raising businesses.
We help local churches to get established, to develop disciples and to identify, train and send out leaders.
In addition we work together with local Christians and also send people from Europe for short or long term mission trips. |  |
