Simone (born in 1981) is a nurse and Martin (born in 1975) is a lawyer. Since converting at the ages of 16 and 17 they have been on mission trips to China, Mongolia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Albania, Turkey and more. These experiences left them with one important thought, “We want to serve God abroad!”
Married since 2003, Martin and Simone have a little daughter, Sarah (born Jan. 2007). And we´re expecting a new one in December! :)
Preparation for Mozambique included a school for mission in Luedenscheid, Germany, which they participated in during 2004 and 2005. They left for Mozambique in September 2007. Both are now studying the Macua language and Martin is pursuing his Masters in Theology via correspondence.
Beginning in September 2009 they, together with Myriam Wahr, want to reach the coastal people of Mozambique.
Their focus will be in discipleship, teaching in churches and providing medical help. Their hearts burn to see young Christians strengthened! |
