Johannes: “Soon after I gave my life to Jesus I heard God calling me to become a missionary. By making experiences in short-term-outreaches, doing a practical year at GLOBE Europe and through many confirmations by God, I always knew that I wanted to give my whole life for the fulfilment of the great commission, to make disciples of all nations. By leading and working in youth-ministry the calling to “youth-missions-work” became obvious to me.
Esther: “Since I was a teenager I felt God having a special plan for my life. Especially this time of my life with different missions-outreaches during the summer-holidays, youth-conferences and the Kings-Kids ministry was significant for me. My desire since then was to give my whole live to serve God. Many times God spoke to me about my work with the youth, and through my participation in a school for short-term-missions God confirmed the call into missions to me.”
When we got married in April 2005 we started to pray and think about how our life and the calling that God had given us should look like. Nearly immediately God confirmed the common call into missions.
Our vision and ministry is called “x-treme missions”, and this name is also program! Our heart beats for a missions-movement among the youth in Germany. We believe that God calls the youth into world-missions and we want to give them opportunities to live the call, and not only to participate in God’s great plan to save the world, but at the same time to live a happy, fulfilled life.
“x-treme missions” is dedicated to make disciples among the youth and together with them we want to live the great commission through short-term-missions.
We are based in Bielefeld, and there as well as in other places in Germany and the world we want to do evangelistic youth-work and make the great commission known to the youth. |
